Chiefs Offensive Linemen Join With KFC To Support First Downs For Down Syndrome


WHAT: Members of the Chiefs Community Caring Team will be visiting a local KFC to help kick off the 2012 KFC First Downs for Down Syndrome Donation Drive. KFC restaurants will raise money for FDFDS from Oct. 1 through Nov. 4. Customers visiting a KFC during this timeframe will have the opportunity to donate $1 to FDFDS. Customers visiting the Raytown KFC on Tuesday will have the opportunity to meet members of the Chiefs offensive line and have their picture taken with KC Wolf.

WHY: First Downs for Down Syndrome is the charity of choice for Chiefs offensive linemen. Since its inception in 1992, FDFDS has raised over $5.5M thanks to the partnership. FDFDS is a 501(c)3 organization that teams with the offensive line to raise money for Down Syndrome organizations, raise awareness of Down Syndrome and create positive images of those with Down Syndrome. FDFDS is supported solely through tax-deductible contributions and participating in special events and fundraisers held throughout the year.
