All that remains now is the joy.<br />I don't think I could have learned as much from raising my beautiful, amazing daughter if her wonderful younger brother with Down syndrome had not turned my perspective inside out when he was born and continued to re-educate me as as they both grew up. <br />I love what Lisa wrote and that Tori celebrates their journey together as mothers. Last weekend we celebrated my son's birthday with women who have known them and been there for me since all our kids were toddlers and preschoolers. <br />The life I have is so much better than anything I could have planned before my daughter and son opened up my eyes and heart. Your friendship will mean even more than you know as your lives continue to unfold.
